Institutional Precision & Liquidity
STRUCTURE → LIQUIDITY → CONFIRMATION
Three research models built around observable price structure and liquidity behavior. A configurable MT5 interpretation, not a replica of a proprietary system.
INSPIRATION / INDEPENDENT IMPLEMENTATION
Inspired by Brad Goh — The Trading Geek
Inspired by Brad Goh’s public trading education on liquidity sweeps, order blocks, fair value gaps and candle ranges. Developed independently by EA LAB; no affiliation, endorsement or collaboration is claimed.

The three trading models
The public educational concepts below explain the inspiration. The specific EA thresholds, state handling and broker execution are engineering choices. They are not presented as Brad Goh’s exact proprietary parameters.
1 / Institutional Precision
Concept: first define directional market structure and a relevant supply or demand zone. A first reaction is context, not automatically an entry. A later sweep and confirming change in lower-timeframe behavior may form a trade opportunity. The EA uses configurable swing pivots, BOS displacement, zones and entry confirmation to formalize this process.
A conceptual diagram, not a record of the source author’s trade.
2 / SMC Sniper — Sweep + OB + FVG
Concept: a structural displacement identifies bias, an opposing origin candle suggests an order-block area, and a three-candle imbalance may define a fair value gap. A liquidity sweep and rejection around the marked region becomes an entry candidate. These elements are conditional and must be confirmed, not inferred using future candles.
3 / Candle Range Theory (CRT)
Concept: start with a reference candle or range. Look for a sweep beyond one edge and a return into the range. The opposing boundary may serve as context or a target, while the invalidation point lies beyond the sweep extreme. The implementation’s range-bars, sweep thresholds, micro-confirmation and RR settings remain adjustable.
Owner-supplied US100 example: the uploaded SET selects CRT (model value 2), Signal H4, Entry M15, target 2.25R, break-even activation at 1.5R, and 3% balance risk. This is an example configuration, not a performance claim.
From setup to execution
01 / CONTEXT
Find structure
Evaluate confirmed swing pivots and structural displacement on the selected Signal TF. No advance access to subsequent candles.
02 / CONFIRMATION
Wait for the sweep
On the lower Entry TF, evaluate sweep depth, reclaim and optional micro-CHOCH. Entry TF must be lower than Signal TF.
03 / RISK
Trade with an SL
Broker-side stop beyond the sweep reference plus a configured buffer. Fixed R target and optional break-even handling depend on the selected settings.

What EA025 actually allows you to configure
| Group | Parameters and purpose |
|---|---|
| Core / Signal | Model (Institutional / SMC / CRT), Signal TF, Entry TF, BUY/SELL permission. |
| Structure / Zones | Pivot wing, structure lookback, setup age, BOS ATR buffer, impulse ATR, origin candle and FVG constraints. |
| Sweep / Confirmation | History request count (SweepLookback), wick and distance thresholds, reclaim body, micro CHOCH and valid entry age. SweepLookback is not a historical sweep-search threshold. |
| CRT | Reference-range candles and minimum ATR-relative size. |
| Exits / Money Management | TP mode, RR, SL buffer, optional break-even, balance-risk % or fixed lot and execution safety. |
| Testing | Custom Max (Smooth Equity by default), minimum trades 40, maximum relative equity drawdown 35% (test-ranking constraints, not live protection). |
Research caution. Different models need separate backtests. Profit figures, drawdown and trade counts must be taken from the actual full MT5 report and its exact SET. An appealing setup sketch is not proof of performance. Losses and gaps can exceed planned SL.

Six illustrated trade paths: BUY and SELL
These original EA LAB diagrams separate the structural context, sweep, confirmation, entry and exit. They are simplified line charts, not records of Brad Goh trades or evidence of EA performance. For a BUY, the stop lies below the sweep; SELL mirrors that geometry. A target close is only one possible outcome: the stop or break-even may be reached first.

Exact v1.03 implementation: how a signal becomes an order
- Closed candles only. Signal and entry calculations run once per new bar and inspect completed candles. Confirmed pivot wings introduce a necessary delay. Supported TF codes are 0=M5, 1=M15, 2=M30, 3=H1, 4=H4, 5=D1. Entry TF must be strictly below Signal TF; an M5 signal has no valid lower entry TF in this release.
- Institutional / SMC structure. The last signal candle must close beyond the latest confirmed swing by the BOS ATR buffer, with the preceding close on the other side. Its absolute body must pass the minimum impulse threshold. The EA searches earlier opposite-colour candles and uses their full high-low range as an OB; it does not use body-only bounds. Zones wider than the maximum ATR size are excluded.
- FVG qualification. A three-closed-candle gap must pass the minimum ATR size and overlap the OB. SMC forces this condition even if Require FVG is false. Institutional uses the toggle. This is EA LAB’s quantitative interpretation, not a claim about the creator’s exact rules.
- Touch and sweep. Institutional can skip the first zone visit. A separate visit is counted after price leaves and returns. For BUY, the entry candle must sweep below the zone low, close back above it, and pass wick, depth and absolute-body thresholds; SELL mirrors this above the zone high. SMC does not apply the first-touch skip.
- CRT. The reference high/low encloses the selected number of completed Signal TF candles. Its size must pass the minimum ATR-relative range. A lower-TF sweep/reclaim chooses direction. The range persists until trade or expiry; it is not automatically replaced every signal candle. CRT does not require BOS, an OB or an FVG.
- Confirmation. With Micro CHOCH enabled, a later completed entry candle must close beyond the highest high (BUY) or lowest low (SELL) of the preceding micro-lookback candles. It must arrive within the permitted entry age. With Micro CHOCH off, an order can be attempted immediately on the sweep event.
- Execution and exits. The EA sends a market order on the following new-bar evaluation. Stop Loss uses the recorded sweep extreme plus Entry TF ATR buffer. Fixed RR derives TP from entry-to-stop distance. Opposite Liquidity mode uses the stored structural target only when valid; otherwise it falls back to RR. For CRT the stored target is the other range boundary. With immediate non-CRT entries, target zero explicitly triggers the RR fallback.
- Risk and filters. Balance-risk sizing uses tick size/value and rounds volume down to the broker step; below-minimum orders are skipped. Fixed lot is optional. Spread, hours, broker stop distance, free margin, existing own position and optional other symbol position checks can block entry. Optional break-even moves SL after the selected R threshold. There is no martingale, grid, pyramid or trailing-stop system in v1.03.
Parameter caveat: InpSweepLookback changes the amount of history requested and is validated on init, but does not define a historical sweep-search threshold. Do not optimize it as a separate edge. Structure, OB and FVG settings do not drive CRT entries. Custom Max limits rank tests; they are not live stop-out limits.
Failure and invalidation examples
No reclaim close means no sweep signal. A touch alone does not qualify. Expired setup or entry age resets the state. Missing micro-confirmation means no order. An existing position, high spread, insufficient margin or invalid broker stop distance can reject an otherwise valid setup. SL and TP remain broker-side; gaps and slippage may exceed planned risk.
