The map: yesterday’s high and low
Mark PDH and PDL from the previous completed broker daily candle. PDL is the BUY-side reversal boundary; PDH is the SELL-side boundary. The EA uses broker D1 bars, including any short Sunday candle. These levels identify where to look; a touch alone is not an entry.
BUY candidate
Daily permission favors BUY. A completed H1 candle trades below PDL by the chosen buffer and closes back above it by the reclaim buffer. A qualifying completed M5 candle then confirms the selected entry path.
SELL candidate
Daily permission favors SELL. H1 trades above PDH and closes back below it. The M5 confirmation and entry rules mirror BUY. Failure to reclaim the level is not a confirmed reversal.
Daily direction: momentum or structure
Momentum compares the last completed D1 close with the preceding D1 close. Strict structure requires consecutive higher highs plus higher lows for BUY, or lower highs plus lower lows for SELL. Bias can also be disabled. These choices materially change the sample and should be researched as separate variants.
Four setup variants
| Mode | Rules |
|---|---|
| H1 confirmed / M5 follow | One confirmed H1 fakeout, then a directional M5 close near the level. H1-ATR proximity/distance limits apply; a second M5 sweep is not required. Factory default. |
| M5 fresh sweep | Recent M5 bars sweep the boundary; the signal closes back inside. A matching H1 event is optional through the H1 requirement switch. |
| Strict double sweep | Require both confirmed H1 fakeout and recent M5 sweep/reclaim. This is the supplied backtest variant. |
| H1 or M5 | Accept H1-follow first, otherwise an eligible M5 sweep path. |
Entry: a close-confirmed decision
Close-reclaim entry attempts a market order after the completed M5 signal. Break-signal entry arms the candle and waits for a later M5 close above its high for BUY or below its low for SELL. A wick touch is insufficient. Armed signals expire after their validity count or at a broker-day change.
The EA always calculates D1/H1/M5 internally. BUY is filled on Ask and SELL on Bid. Actual entry is not the candle’s closing price; spreads, slippage and gaps affect the result. A graphical SETUP is not proof of a fill.
Stops, targets and protection
Choose a stop behind the sweep extreme with an M5-ATR cushion, or an ATR-distance stop. When H1 supplies the event, recent M5 extremes can move the initial structural stop farther away. The target is fixed RR or the opposite previous-day level when eligible, with RR fallback otherwise.
Optional break-even moves SL toward entry only after the configured favorable R movement. There is no general trailing module or end-of-day liquidation in this build. Broker SL/TP can operate after entry; BE needs the EA running. Price gaps can exceed nominal risk.
When a confirmed pattern still does not trade
License, allowed direction, broker session, daily fill cap, event identifier, own position, netting conflict, spread/ATR ceiling, minimum volume, stop distance and margin checks must pass. Confirmed fills alone count toward limits. Daily counters are in memory, so a restart can reset them.

Historical test evidence
One supplied example: US100.pro M5, 1 Jan 2025–1 Oct 2026, OANDA TMS, USD 5,000 initial deposit, leverage 1:100 and 100% real-tick quality as reported. Configuration: strict double sweep, break-signal entry, 3R target, BE at 1R and 3% balance risk. Factory settings differ.

| Maximum monetary equity drawdown | USD 1,497.76 (13.36% at that monetary peak) |

The net result reconciles to the 63 exit deals. The two drawdown maxima are different statistics and must not be substituted for one another. No separate out-of-sample or walk-forward validation is documented in the supplied materials.
Configure the research, then test unseen data
Keep risk fixed while comparing setup and entry paths. Optimize only active parameters, then test buffers and exits. A supplied 3% risk setting describes one historical test; factory default is 1%. Neither is a universal live-account setting.
Custom max uses Smooth Equity by default, with minimum 40 trades and maximum 35% relative equity drawdown as ranking gates. These gates do not stop a live account. Test neighboring settings, untouched chronological periods and realistic execution costs. There is no FVG, news or holiday filter in this build.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the creator’s official robot?
No. It is an independent EA LAB implementation inspired by the educational material, with explicit configurable assumptions.
Does every previous-day sweep trigger a trade?
No. A completed reclaim, selected confirmation and all execution checks are required.
Does the preset equal the factory defaults?
No. The preset uses strict mode, break-signal entry, 3R, BE and 3% risk. Factory uses H1-follow, close reclaim, 2R, no BE and 1% risk.
Is break-even a guaranteed zero-loss exit?
No. Slippage and costs can leave a small negative or positive result. Realized RR is calculated against the original stop.
