TradingView and cTrader adaptations are paid products, including adaptations of free MT5 robots. Standard price: €24.95 per robot, per platform.

TradingView

No TradingView adaptation is offered for this robot at present. See the reviewed limitations below.

Scope: No paid adaptation offered.

Limitations: The multi-seed range detector combines nested pivot clusters, rebound verification and range-shape ranking. Pine execution/memory limits require a measured prototype before the actual scope can be promised. No such Pine runtime verification has passed, so orders are disabled; this is not a claim of permanent impossibility.

Unavailable for the reviewed scope. See limitations above.

cTrader

Receive a cTrader cBot based on the MT5 robot’s core trading rules, within the reviewed scope. Includes source code, required launch files and instructions. A cBot can place automated orders when enabled in a compatible cTrader environment. Platform APIs, broker data and execution may differ from MT5; identical results are not promised.

Scope: Confirmed local-pivot clustering into a coherent support/resistance range; independent rebound depth, alternating touches, freshness/formation/outside-close and width filters; frozen range expiry/invalidation, range rejection or sweep-and-reclaim entry, EMA permission, strategy/signal/swing physical stop, fixed-RR/opposite-range target and optional swing trailing. One position at a time.

Limitations: Pyramiding, ARS sizing, account-wide daily limits and search for the next external fair-value range are excluded from this standard adaptation. Range identification uses only bars known at the decision time. C# cBot can trade automatically when enabled. cTrader broker data, contract sizes, execution, fees and timezone may differ from MT5; identical signals/results are not promised. MT5 canvas/panel, MT5 activation implementation and Custom Max optimizer are not ported. EA LAB non-exclusive source-code licence applies.

Description

EA LAB / EA018 / MTF RANGE & RECLAIM

Triple Touch Hunter

Find the range.
Watch the sweep.
Wait for the reclaim.

A confirmed range gives the context. A completed-candle reaction provides the decision. Trade the reversal or failed boundary break with clearly defined risk.

EA018 conceptual range sweep and reclaim artwork

The framework: structure before entry

EA018 builds a support/resistance band on the Structure TF, then evaluates entry candles on the Entry TF. The supplied preset uses M15 structure and M5 entry. Entry, Structure and Swing SL support M5, M15, M30, H1 and H4 independently.

With Historical Touches = 3, each boundary needs at least three qualified pivot touches. Separate rebounds, boundary alternations and width/freshness checks distinguish a coherent range from repeated candle noise. Levels are the average wick prices of accepted pivots.

SIGNAL 01 / RANGE REVERSAL

React at the edge

BUY when the completed candle tests support and closes back inside; SELL mirrors this at resistance. The optional candle-direction check requires a bullish BUY candle or bearish SELL candle.

SIGNAL 02 / BREAK & RECLAIM

A sweep that fails

A boundary excursion on either of the last two completed entry candles must exceed the minimum ATR depth. The latest candle closes meaningfully back inside. BOTH mode checks reclaim first.

A lasting breakout is not a reclaim entry. A sweep alone does not trigger an order. The latest completed candle must reclaim the boundary, and every execution gate must pass.

The supplied SET enables close-back and direction checks, with 0.1 entry ATR for both minimum reclaim depth and close-inside depth. Reversal close-back can be disabled separately; reclaim always requires the close back inside.

01 / SELL sweep and reclaim

EA018 SELL sweep and reclaim: original MT5 candle chart with entry and exit
19 December 2025: the displayed M15 band has three touches per boundary. Price sweeps above resistance, closes back inside and produces SELL ENTRY. The recorded TP label shows +1.53R. Wait for the reclaim rather than selling the wick alone. R labels are price-based realized R, not cash return after costs.

02 / BUY support reversal

EA018 BUY support reversal: original MT5 candle chart with entry and exit
29 December 2025: REVERSAL and BUY ENTRY appear near support, followed by a cyan path to TP, labeled +3.24R. An earlier SELL on this same chart hit SL at −1.00R; each result must be read separately. R labels are price-based realized R, not cash return after costs.

03 / A valid reclaim can lose

EA018 A valid reclaim can lose: original MT5 candle chart with entry and exit
15 January 2026: a SELL is labeled +1.87R. A later BUY reclaim after a support sweep fails and exits at −1.00R. The panel shows LAST RANGE; historical trades must not all be attributed to the currently retained zone. R labels are price-based realized R, not cash return after costs.

04 / BUY followed by expansion

EA018 BUY followed by expansion: original MT5 candle chart with entry and exit
22 January 2026: a BUY closes at TP with +1.49R, before price rallies farther. Only the entry-to-exit move belongs to the trade result. The retained zone is LAST RANGE, not a new signal. R labels are price-based realized R, not cash return after costs.

Choose the exit before the entry

Strategy SL: reversal uses the latest closed candle extreme; reclaim uses the extreme of the last two entry candles. Add the point buffer, expand to minimum entry ATR distance and reject excessive distance. Signal Candle and lookback-extreme Swing SL are alternatives.

TP modes: RR multiple, opposite range edge, nearest eligible historical touched level with RR fallback, or no fixed TP. The supplied SET targets the opposite range boundary; its RR = 3 input is not the active fixed target. Optional Swing Trailing only tightens the stop.

A successful order marks its accepted range USED. Closing it does not reset the range for another entry. Expired or invalidated levels may remain as LAST RANGE until a new valid range is confirmed. The range can remain visible while no longer eligible for entry.

Spread, server hours/days, optional EMA/slope, available room to the opposite edge, broker stop restrictions, margin, volume/position caps, daily entry limits and licensing can block an otherwise valid pattern. Simultaneous opposing signals are skipped.

Preset and optimization

The supplied SET uses Both signals, 65-bar lookback (code default 40), three touches per side, 35% minimum rebound, 150–600 point width, 0.25 ATR touch tolerance, Strategy SL minimum 0.9 ATR (default 0.75), maximum 3 ATR, 20-point SL buffer and opposite-range TP. Trailing, pyramiding and EMA are OFF; spread filter is ON at 80 points. Risk-percent volume requests 3% equity; this is a research setting, not a recommended risk.

Entry, Structure and Swing SL index mapping: 0=M5, 1=M15, 2=M30, 3=H1, 4=H4. Trail TF uses native MT5 timeframe values separately. Re-save presets from older builds that used native codes.

Select Custom max in the MT5 optimizer. Smooth Equity is the default ranking; Net Profit is the alternative. The default gates require at least 40 trades and relative equity drawdown no more than 35%. Optimize small parameter groups, keep risk fixed, inspect the SET Start/Step/Stop values and validate untouched later periods and nearby settings.

Your customer package

  • Supplied compiled EA018 v1.19 EX5.
  • GBPUSD M5/M15 example SET with blank license field.
  • 26-page English manual with four chart case studies and all inputs.
  • START_HERE and release notes.

The protected customer ZIP excludes MQ5 source and customer keys. Software is downloaded through authorized customer access after purchase.

Install, activate and verify

  1. Copy the supplied EX5 to MQL5/Experts and refresh Navigator.
  2. Open the exact broker GBPUSD symbol; use M5 for the supplied example and load the SET.
  3. Review risk, quote-point units, lot limits and SL/TP mode.
  4. Enter your EA018 license key and allow https://ea-lab.dev in MT5 WebRequest settings.
  5. Enable Algo Trading and check LICENSE ACTIVE. Strategy Tester uses TESTER MODE without online activation.
  6. Run your own broker backtest and demo checks before live use.

Temporary eligible network failure can use up to 72 hours of grace after a successful activation. Explicit rejection does not use grace. A license issue blocks new entries; existing positions continue receiving trailing management while MT5 remains running.

Frequently asked questions

Does it buy every breakout?

No. Reclaim mode requires a sweep and completed close back inside. Range reversal reacts at a qualified boundary.

Why is the zone visible but no new trade appears?

It may be used, expired or invalidated. LAST RANGE preserves the historical visual; it does not make the band tradable.

Why are winning trades not all 3R?

The supplied SET targets the opposite range edge. Entry location and SL distance vary, so realized R varies too.

Can I use another instrument?

The code has no fixed symbol restriction. Supplied evidence is GBPUSD.pro; point settings and costs need separate testing elsewhere.
